>>7283758I don't believe I could be a teacher.
Every teacher I ever had just seemed lazy and frustrated.
Not comfy in the sense of being laid back and content, just lazy.
Having attended school myself it's understandable, really. Nobody, including me, cared about much of anything a teacher had to say after elementary school.
The subjects I was engaged with (mostly bullshit like history) I excelled at not because the teacher told me things that really got me hooked, but because I already learned about the subject matter on my own time
At the very best me and my classmates aspired to have good grades on our graduation papers
From what I've been told by my teachers the bureaucracy involved in the job, at least where I live, is an incredible pain in the ass as well.
I don't think I could look the people I know in eye ten years from now and tell them I'm a teacher
It would just make me feel kind of terrible
I blame my upbringing for filling me with lots of incredibly vague expectations of success resulting from attending some university
