Ok so theres this book I've forgotten and it's driving me insane.

It was long,unfinished at the author's death, published i think by Dakely Archive or someone similar, and concerned the goings on of a fictional country in central europe. Cover had two dogs and a farmer or something of that kind in the shape of a skull on a simply drawn cover. Anyone know what book I'm talking about? I think it was published in the last 10 years, maybe 15.
