What are /lit/'s thoughts on this book?
I heard it was Nabokov's best so I'm planning to buy it this afternoon.

It's one of my favorites. By far better than Lolita.

I read here than some people like Ada more, I plan to read it somewhere this month.

It's good. Something I wish I knew going into it is that it's a mystery novel. But you aren't reading about a detective figuring something out, you have to do the job of the detective. Basically what you put into it is what you get out of it. Don't read up on spoilers, even if you don't get everything after reading it once, it will ruin it. Discovering things yourself is what's great about this book.

Pretty good and an interesting idea but I don't really see what people seem to find so amazing about it. Didn't really elicit a strong emotional or intellectual reaction tbh.
