the book is called how to bomb the us government, so not everyone's gonna be taking it on. I've read a few excerpts, though, and they're pretty good.

I haven't looked into this issue in a number of years but there is a lot more oil under the planet's surface than people ever imagined. Just look at the north american oil boom. I wish peak oil would happen sooner rather than later, it would be very good for our civilization, but it probably won't happen until well into the second half of this century or the next. While we would technically have centuries of fossil fuels left to exploit in a sunny dreamworld, most of the oil that was actually useful for the "industrial project" has already been discovered, with remaining deposits in decline or being financially unviable to extract. Hence the recent upsurge in dirty coal & tar sands projects, which use energy sources with a far smaller EROI rate than the black gold that people were getting from the Pennsylvanian & Texan fields 130 years ago.

The EROI rate is inconsequential as technology and demand renders deposits that have been considered for years as inviable such as Brazil's Pre-sal or the Albertan tar sands possible

Is this all you got? There are way worse things to be concerned about, but "peak oil" in whatever form it takes (has been predicted like what, four times in the last fifty years starting with the 70s energy crisis?) is the last one of those
