Normally during our patrols, we give out water, aid, and toys (whatever we have on us, cause that is a lot of extra weight considering what we normally carry). Kids run around us hoping to get something, and I see this one child running towards us, the suddenly an ied goes off. The child stepped on a pressure plate, and everything from the waist-down turned into pink-mist. I still think about that child.
