How can anyone write anything besides fantasy and his life without feeling like a fraud? When I try to start a story about somewhere I didn't leave or I time I don't know or about a profession that I didn't exercise it feels totally a lie.
Doesn't matter how much I read, watched and listened about the war I can't write a book about the trenches without being a copy of what was already told.
I can't describe someone walking on a street from London because I never went there, I don't know what the character would see or would feel. I don't how people would react and shit. I don't know how the interior of a cab looks like there. I don't know how the restaurants works there.
People that don't write about their own experiences or create a entire new world are hacks.
