I just finished reading "The Manipulated Man"
27 years old guy here, had a few relationships, never hard to get sex, tend towards the beta side but can't complain.
I have been browsing /b/ since forever so that made me aware of most of the facts stated in this book.
But damn I did not expect it to connect so many dots and lines after only 69 pages..

There's a lot of truth to that book, but does it address how marriage is a good way to raise children? In the absence of children, marriage would be a 100% shit-sandwich, but creating a stable environment with caretakers and role-models of both sexes and forming extensive support networks through marriage makes a lot of sense, and I don't think women are fooling us into believing that.

Otherwise yes, women are definitely able to use and control certain emotions more effectively than all but a few (usually mentally ill) men, and are skilled at reading how their reactions to a situation will affect the outcome.

This book did not turn me against marriage, but it has made me open my eyes more to what kind of woman I want next to me and mother of our children..

The main thing I dislike here are the roles imposed and their weight which seems to be shifting to one side mainly in the past years.. My mother is still working at 53 and has been working since 18, but most women I know that are under 30 are parasites in one way or another.. they younger they are the more they look for providers..
