the contemporary divide stoicism/epicurism is the liberal/libertarian divide.
what matters is to be a epicurean stoic : you now that stoicism is good, but you are not dumb enough to live day after day in non-stoic situation. you identify what doctrine you want and identify the means to live it. this destroy the divide.
