/lit/ I'm trying to find a book I read in high school. The cover has a mailbox on a small mound over a black cover. I think it was from the late 80s or 90s Here's what I can remember from the story:
>Fat ugly dude works at mail sorting facility in small town
>Boss makes him take out all the money and valuables from the mail
>One day he finds a weird medallion that gives him cool vibes and he doesn't want to give it to his boss
>Kills his boss and burns the facility down
>Packs all of his shit and leaves town
>Medallion starts to give him weird psychic powers
>Has sex with an armless dude at a laundry-mat
>Gets the ability to fly and go to the spirit realm
Here's where it gets fuzzy
>Years later dude comes back after pre-teen girls swim in the lake he was sleeping in
>This awakens the ancient power
>Dude rapes the girls and flees the scene
>Flys away to some suburb to start fucking shit up
>Builds army of inanimate objects that kill people and are generally creepy
>Uses evil powers to make people in the city hallucinate and get fucked in the head
>starts to destroy the town
Cant remember parts around here either
>The protagonists arrive and find out the chick has psychic powers that are weaker than evil guys
>They have confrontation at a mansion
>Evil dude sends whole city to the spirit realm
Somehow everything works out
This is a long shot, but I'd love to read it again
