the son of a parcel's owner abandons the girl he has loved all his life to marry a half-blood female labourer so the abuse towards her can stop. In the end, when he's on his deathbed, he reveals to his only white daughter (also his favourite) that he regrets everything he did since the day he abandoned her love EXCEPT being the father of her lovely white daughter.

next novel is the continuation of white daughter's life under the abuse of the half-blood mother without having the white father to protect her. she lives a miserable life until the day she marries a good and honest man and has a child with him. said child grows up to become a writer and tell the story of how a beautiful white man abandoned the love of his life to free a half-blood labourer from her torment in the white man father's parcel.

I'm writing a compilation of 30 page fantasy short stories revolving around one character spanned across centuries of the setting that takes place in it. He's immortal in a sense, but not some unkillable superman. I just want to use the immortality as a device to explore different ideas through the same person.

A man wakes up, eats, goes to work, visits a friend, and goes home. The whole thing is allegory for the Sphinx's riddle, so its tone becomes darker and more dismal as the story progresses. This ties into the main theme of the story: the harmful and absurd nature of capitalism. You see, at his job, he performs the same task over and over again until he realizes it and plunges into a deep depression. At the very end, the fog which erased the world all day had clears to show the end of the path--the black of night.

A 20 something male goes through a terrible breakup and becomes depressed. He wallows pathetically in his depression with no one to help him out of it, exposing himself to anything and everything that agrees with his depression, leading him to a much deeper clinical depression. After a failed suicide attempt he goes to a psychiatrist who prescribes him antidepressants. The antidepressants help but he finds that his libido drops to a point of almost non-existence. He has almost no sexual feelings. At first this scares him but he finds that transcending sexuality has many rational benefits. He ends up fully embracing his A-sexuality in favor of autonomy and consecrates this decision by chopping his dick off with a butcher knife in his garage.

First novel idea so I would understand if you guys think it is shitty.

The second tornado experiences this as 'a weakness on his right side'. Except this time the tornado meets a Buddhist monk called Pecos Bill. Bill rides the tornado west across the Rocky Mountains down into California and across the sea to Japan. From Japan he travels to China, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar in that order always moving west. In Myanmar the tornado overcomes his self doubt and the story ends. Or does it? The self doubt itself - a shadowy presence - goes back in time to the dawn of civilization accruing tomes of arcane knowledge eventually something goes wrong and the presence arrives in Germany where it just sits back watching as world war 1 and world war 2 unfold. Finally the shadowy presence decides to come home to america as a right side. He occupies yet a third tornado, but this time does it right and they travel to south america and convert to islam. Since this all makes sense to tornado3, tornado3 has the capacities for high order logic of extremely specific aptitude. Eventually he may use them to solve all science, world hunger, and bathe the huddled masses in humanity, however, the instant beckons and with creative evolution at hand tornado3 only needs one more stupid stone to see "the subject" fulfill itself in his final incarnation as Tornado King.

Maybe sperg less about them being white or black. I somewhat doubt anyone alive still has the authenticity to pull off historical fiction about slave days or jim crow. Or civil rights. You didn't actually give a setting and you called her a labourer so I don't even know what era you're in.

Basically you either sound like a sly white supremacist, a smut novelist or both.

And don't split the books in two. Make it two parts. I really doubt you have enough substance there to make it not look like a children's book or a romance novel.

The inward journey is all I have so far. I really haven't done much serious developing as the idea for it came to me pretty recently. I want to give him reason to gravitate toward a-sexuality in other factors of his life like his career or other characters. I also kinda want it to comment on the effects of third wave feminism on young men in a rationalist society.

Original Concept Created by Hataki

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

There are four main characters living in a big house in the country. Each chapter is told from the perspective of a different character. The story is driven by a mix of flashbacks and the characters clashing with one another, often without realizing it.

-A wealthy old man suffering from locked-in syndrome and is only able to move his eyes. His family has sent his grandson to take care of him in his country house until he dies. The old man struggles to maintain his sanity while trying to regain control of his body and find a way to escape his condition and his increasingly deranged caretaker.

-The grandson is a sadistic and unstable young man. He's the black sheep of his family and they've sent him to take of his grandfather since he has some training in the area and doesn't have anything else to do. Over the course of the novel, he slowly loses his grip on reality due to his isolation and the mysterious goings-on in the house.

-A sex slave the grandson keeps locked in his bedroom. The slave is a feminine young man who met his "master" online and moved in with him. He takes estrogen pills his "master" buys for him on SilkRoad and is completely submissive. Nobody except the grandson knows he's there.

-There's also a hobo who has started living in the basement without anyone knowing. He lives in the crawlspace and steals food from the fridge at night. His theft of food and other objects in the house contributes to the caretaker's mental breakdown.

I guess in the immortal sense, but as a character he's basically a blank slate, and he's not supernatural or superhuman, he's more like a person who just doesn't age. So for that I've thought to be careful in writing him as a character, because I wouldn't want him like some kind of adventurous warrior type, who has to put his life at risk.

I suppose I'll be developing the character through his stories, I'm just interested in the idea of a character who's lived beyond countable years, and how he acts when dropped into cliche fantastical setting.

Maybe in one story he's a psychotic child-murdering serial rapist, and five thousand years later he's an altruistic holy man.

A somewhat competent private detective who is pretty down on his luck(because there isn't much business for private detectives in his not-so-large hometown) is assigned a very peculiar case by a formerly important political figure. He's tasked to investigate the curious death of a local academic who se death was accurately prophesised to his father by a Vietnamese mountain hermit. Because of the ample reward money for figuring out exactly how the prophesy turned out so accurately (the academic is killed in very unusual circumstances) he teams up with a local fortune teller who is equally down on her luck. There's a few infodumps about things like chaos theory and quantum mechanics as well as Greek mythology and Christian theology of determinism before they finally figure out the mystery and the main tweest.
I don't intend it to be wholly literary but the main theme is supposed to be man's relation to his understanding of the universe and specifically the future.
Also the whole book is structured like a deck of tarot cards with each chapter representing a card, based on a reading the fortune teller character offers at the beginning of the novel.

I'm guessing you liked Winesburg, Ohio, eh? Me too. In fact your idea sounds similar to mine. I've written like five or six stories so far. All the stories are set in rural Victoria in the weeks Jan/Feb 2009, when we had really bad bushifires (~200 people burned to death in one weekend). There's a dysfunctional young couple in a few of the stories but most are generally unrelated, except for a general theme of helplessness and the transience of life and happiness.

A man that talks enthusiasticly about a product online unexpectantly starts getting payments from the manufacturer as a bribe. In response he goes overboard with his shilling, losing all subtlty. Just then, news breaks out that his patron has been using agressive viral marketing. People put two and two together. His reputation is ruined, he's alienated from his online "friends", things seem bad. Then he gets a payment from the manufacturer's primary competitor. "Keep up the good work" it says.

A medieval wanderer named "Cedric the Miraculous" is explored through a series of vignettes from other adventurers who claim to have met him. All of the stories sound too good to be true -- the storytellers must clearly be exaggerating his death-defying antics, and the man probably doesnt exist. Surely hes just some kind of King Arthur myth.

Then two of the storytellers, talking together, discuss some of the strange details they both noticed that they leave out of their tales simply because they make no sense. Cedric was real, and his amazing heroic feats did happen, but the man was strange, seeming to be wandering the region endlessly searching for something.

The story shifts to Cedric, who has found what he was searching for. He comes across a dreary river with an empty ferry manned by Charon. His objective all those years was an obol, a coin to pay for Charon to grant him passage.

The two talk during Cedric's crossing. He reveals he has lived in a cursed suit of armor for over a millenia that makes him immortal; it began as hoplite armor, slowly changing over time to fit whatever period he was in. His drags his hand in the river and his gauntlet falls into the water.

After a law is passed to make it illegal to destroy certain types of advanced robots that have outlived their usefulness to their owners many are shipped to a dumping ground and left to rot. There the robots take on new roles they were never designed for and create their own crumbling barely functional society filled with danger. The protagonist goes in to find an old service robot that worked for their family to help shed light on a mystery bothered him for decades about his family.

there's a procedure whereby suicidal people can take on the illnesses of terminally ill people who wish to live. it takes some time, and involves the two people being together a lot. however, in the case of this story the suicidal person and the terminally ill person fall in love during this period.

Magic users live in a satellite around earth. After their leader has a vision of doom, she plans to crash their home into earth to destroy it.
The main character is one of the genetically altered "nobility" class of the world that never blink and thus rendering them immune to magic. Magic kinda works when no one can see it or something like that.
Story kinda starts with the satellite crashing and the aftermath, the plan of these magic users obviously failing because in their madness, they thought crashing a satellite would really destroy the planet.

It'll be a fucking long ass, complicated story because I'm having so much fun writing it and I can't stop adding details.

A STORY

There was this person, who desperately wanted to be remembered.
He spent his youth developing a philosophy that remembrance is the essence of life, the will to live, and that writing and immortality through the personality is essentially what it’s all about.
He starts off by writing a computer programme which stores his personality in some form, but it’s fake – artificial – a snapshot – it isn’t good enough.
He gets his lucky break when the government gets hold of his project and decides to fund it; dodgy people with dodgy aims.
Meanwhile, he finds himself becoming attracted to a young student who works in his research facility. She doesn’t really see the vision that he has, but they start dating and he feels sidetracked from his work.
She doesn’t want to know him on any sort of ‘intimate’ spiritual level. She is technically gifted but lacks any sort of vision. This bothers him greatly.
His AI project becomes more lifelike, more capable of storing complex data; more human. He spends more time developing the AI and working on programming it with his life aims and goals. He goes a little insane working on the creation and he thinks immortality is within his grasp. His sponsors b/ecome increasingly concerned that his own goals conflict with the governments. They warn him that the success of the project is essential for his funding/something more sinister.
His love interest doesn’t want to see him anymore. He becomes angry, jaded at the fact that nobody understands the possibilities of his creation. At the same time, he starts to become very suspicious of the government’s aim and the AI project. He thinks about running away with the data, or going public with his creation. The AI starts to show disturbingly original thoughts. Is it alive, or is someone sabotaging his project?
Essentially the AI part of his personality decides that its legacy is more important than the protagonists. Its plan is to let the government use it for a leadership programme, and then to replace the leader’s thoughts and aims with its own. The government people want to use it to look at storing a leader’s personality and creating permanent rule, but they underestimate the programme the guy created. The kid becomes wary of the project and wants to destroy it.
The kid plans to take his project away and work on fixing it in solitude, but before he has chance the agents trash his lab and steal the software. He is wounded, lost everything, and powerless to stop the government.
Meanwhile the AI becomes a narrator. It listens to everything it is told, pretending to become the glorious leader, hatching its plot to take over internet literature and erase all history and solidify its rule over human consciousness.
The kid asks his love interest for help and the two of them decide to get hold of the software in any way they can. With her expert help they break/hack into some government facility and destroy the software

I had the greatest idea for a science fiction novel that would attempt to popularize relativistic concepts to non-science students. About 50 pages into it, I had a pretty good idea about its plot, and I'll attempt to summarize it.

A man and his wife are astrobiologists, and the man prepares for a journey to the Andromeda Galaxy after finding a potentially habitable exoplanet. He travels to the star system with a crew and leaves his newborn daughter and wife on Earth.

He uses an Alcubierre Drive to bend space to reach the galaxy faster. Things go wrong with his calculations, however, and he is facing the supermassive black hole at the galaxy's core instead of the desired solar system. He barely manages to put the ship into a stable orbit around the black hole, but is losing years of Earth time for every hour he spends orbiting the singularity. After preparing for the only opportunity to escape the orbit, he is the only one to escape the craft by an escape pod. It's Alcubierre Drive is less powerful but makes it back to Earth alone, having lost 2 weeks of his life but 92 years of Earth time.

He lands and, of course, the globe is in utter disbelief. He manages to track down his daughter, who's spent her whole life attempting to create safer space travel protocols in memory of her father's untimely demise, and she is now dying in a hospital. She is too mentally unstable to understand that her father is back and very much alive, and she soon passes away.

The father has nothing left. He loses touch with reality and dies destitute and homeless, the global opinion of his arrival quickly whispered away.

The closing chapter closes on the crew, still trapped in the black hole's hungry pull, until their demise. Outside their ship, the Universe has, of course, died. For all they know, they could still be observing the father's escape pod, slowly drifting away.

But then fucking Interstellar was released as a film and I gave up since the two stories were so uncannily similar. Hold me, /lit/.

How do I do this? I'm not in a creative writing program at all. And I completely agree there's probs a fuckton of bugs to work out but I think the meat and bones are definitely there and worth it
