His sonnets are some of the few I don't get bored of the form because the contents are so beautiful.

I have a massive book of Thomas Wyatt who was a lyrical poet slightly before Shakespeare I've been dipping in and out of for feels and his sonnet structure is pretty awesome too. (abba abba cddc ee) They definitely sounds more like they are meant to be sung, but the contents aren't as striking as Shakespeare's because of that, I think. Highly recommend for something lighter on the brain but just as heavy on the heart.

I feel like Shakespeares sonnets vary a whole lot in "heaviness", some are really nice and lighthearted and others are rather complex and stick with you for some time.

Yeah, it's about 850~ pages and goes through King Arthur's life from a child page to Adolescent squire to King, after pulling out the sword, I haven't read past that I'm only like 240~ pages in , it's pretty funny and witty. It's a nice read on autumn nights like these.

I always loved the dark lady series of sonnets, so that might be affecting my perception of them. Wyatt has a similarly complex emotive quality, though sometimes it does get /r9k/bot tier, he's just much less inventive in word choice and easier to read.
