I read once that some books should be read at certain times in one's life, because an experience of life itself is required in understanding the book. Has anyone made a chart detailing when such books should be read?

What brought this up is that I found an old edition of Swann's Way at a second-hand book store on the cheap, and I feel afraid to read it right now because I don't think that I'll be able to fully appreciate it.

So when should certain books be read?
