I used to read about 100-200 books / year before I became a NEET. Now I read about one per week. I'm devoting more time to reviewing Algebra before I take some STEM classes... I miss my old literary life.

I make a bunch of peanut butter sandwiches on the weekend and they provide breakfast all week. Carry a kettle to the library and fill a thermos with coffee before anybody gets there. Eat fruit at lunch and in the evening I hate whatever warm food I can find that doesn't require a knife and fork.

I actually got approved for medicaid the other day and I was really excited over that, before I had this moment of being like, "Man....my life is fucking pathetic."

Still, like i said, it probably is the happiest I've ever been. I think i've come to understand that true happiness is a lie anyway.

I've slept on my dad/sister's couch since then in June. Pot every day for a while but I got a shitty supermarket job.

It's becoming obvious that life matters but should still be laughed at but fitting in is taken to fascist levels in my country and it isn't compatible with the way I want to live. My dad tries to fit in and stay relevant and at his worst he eats nothing sugary children's snacks, goes to a titty bar and shit all over his bathroom.

I know I need to study again to stop my life stagnating but what's the point when you either treat your life like a joke or be an outcast

Like I said, this all suggests you don't have many friends; you don't just drop someone you've known, for example, for ten years.

My friends and loved ones matter to me in a non-spooky way that, also however, entails dealing with and not bothering to avoid my being entangled in a few arbitrary spooks. Because there are worse things that can happen - like going full Underground Man, to the point you're getting offending that a person on the internet (it's a different anon who's living with his mum; I'm just here to argue) would rather an independent life.

in the realest terms, living rent free with your parents puts a financial strain on them. of course it ranges from family to family how much of a burden that is, but nonetheless, regardless of if the parents complain, living rent free and draining resources while not contributing is a very selfish life to have. the fact that you are doing it your parents, who have already put up with you, multiplies it exponentially.
