I'd recommend getting the 'Newsfeed Killer' Chrome extension anyways, it's saved me a lot of frustration with newsfeed nonsense of this flavor.

I have a professor from my English 101 class whom has several poetry books published, and it only irritates me when he tries to sell them to his students via Facebook.
