>>7300726"natural evil"?
I've always loved that dodge.
'Evil' means 'immoral; morally wrong; malevolent'
A flood is not immoral because no moral choice was made by the river, water etc.
>'No, no!'I her you say,
>'the flood causes suffering! It is evil!'No, it isn't, any more than is gravity. If you are walking gravity causes no harm unless you have arthritis. Does the arthritis make gravity "wvil"? Of course not. Does the fact someone pushes a man off a 50 storey building to his death make gravity "evil"? No.
If I slip and fall and break my arm, never to play the xylophone again, there was no malevolence.
.
The only evil that can exist is moral evil.

Others have said you should read Job, and you should. But you should also read Reichenbach, William Rowe, Quentin Smith, and others in that area, as well.
