I'm starting a book club with some bar friends and other people in our circle. Most of them seem intrested but are casual readers at best. What books would be simple enough to not scare them off at first but still have enough depth to have a decent discussion.

Also never done any type of book club before. Should we agree to only read x amount of chapters between meetings? Should we have topics brought up before hand?
