>>7303484From my experience and in my opinion you're better off sticking to the people who inspired the Trippy and Hippie countercultures instead of reading the drug philosophers like McKenna and Huxley. Ive found that most people writing about the "drug experience" tell a very acute and likewise inaccurate story.
Now, junkie memoirs like the Basketball Diaries and Junky are what I personally like because they're not trying to vocalize a generation or define an experience that should be had instead of studied. They just tell their story or like Welsh, make them up decently.
