/m/ Sings!
This thread is to keep track of submissions, compilations and planning for current and future /m/ sings projects. This information is also backed up in the /m/ sings Wiki. While this is a pretty relaxed effort, please try to keep your submissions in beat with the original song this keeps compiling the submissions easier, don't be afraid to be loud and have fun. Additionally, please submit your submissions via picosong as vocaroo links will expire if you had submitted something in the past via vocaroo and you have the original recording please resubmit them via picosong.

Side note, I was looking at Men of Destiny videos in NicoNico, and apparently "Men of Destiny" is misheard in Japan as "Melon Destiny".

Hey guys.
I WANNA GET A CHANCE
http://picosong.com/S7vR True story, in 2011 I attended All-Con where the original Men of Destiny vocalist MIO (who now goes by MIQ, I guess) was not only performing a concert but was also a judge for a karaoke contest. I participated, and somehow mysteriously won (had to've just been the small pool of people 'cause no way should I have won that) and MIQ handed me $300. Then they asked me to be her opening act and perform one of my karaoke songs before she took stage and performed Men of Destiny. Was one of my proudest moments, even if it was also simultaneously one of my most embarrassing moments because I was performing Kakero Spiderman (from Toei's 1978 Supaidaman) and it was crap.

>>13370703 Maybe? I just try to make sure the editors have good source material to work with and I know they've expressed having louder submissions as quieting them down sounds better than making a quiet submission louder. Maybe it'll suffice, I dunno?
>>13373982 Awesome, just one more and I'll add it to future projects!

>>13374668 I was able to adjust the gain in Audacity with no problem. If your editor isn't up to do that, I'll just send it again.

/m/ what's going on with all the submissions closed? Zeta's OP has been closed for like 8 months and still isn't compiled
Anonymous
>>13382633 Something probably came up for the editor or they stopped prioritizing it. Anyone who's able to edit is most likely welcome to step up to the task, anyone holding onto a project for that long without chiming in for any updates probably wouldn't mind if anyone fills the void.
ZetaDrift !!eH/RYDRZQPf
>>13382652 More or less this. It's one of the reasons why I've made a huge buffer for when submissions are due now to maybe help cope with our huge backlog of submission ended projects.
If anyone wants to tackle editing any of the projects, please feel free to do so.

>>13386342 Around the 0:46 mark for the umieto (I think) there's someone slightly off beat there, I think? It sounds like someone came in early?
0:39 sounds like someone is hard pronouncing "sae" and creating an extra beat that isn't in the original, which is understandable since Hyde loves to slur his words when singing.
That's about it from what I can tell
other than I wish I could hear more of myself but I'm a narcissist and was probably off key during the chorus and why I've been silenced . Bang on edit though Dandy-san!
Mister Dandy !!fgNhMotAuLq
>>13390846 Thanks, I'll look into all of that tonight!
To keep it from being oversaturated with too many voices at once and to help people hear themselves, I only gave everyone a small handful of parts (except for Nightraine by virtue of being the only feminine voice this time.) You're singing from the start to the 25 second mark and from 1:00 to 1:20.
As always, I try to have you singing together with your wife more often than not because the idea of doing that is way too fucking cute for me to pass up. And since this is the part I always have to go back and fix, how's the volume for the backing track this time around?

>>13391003 Sasuga, you're too kind Dandy-san. The bg to vocal balance sounds decent enough. Kind of wish it were louder overall so that bass kick has the same impact as the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edaC4IX0IZs Hmm...giving it a couple more listens through it does sound like the bg is a little silent compared to vocals but it maybe due to everything being a little quieter? But this is just a nice to have feature and isn't necessary.
