What makes this even more laughable is that HG's excuse for sidestepping Shadow Rising's development in order to make this thing was because it was Carl Macek's supposed dying wish and to see his "true vision of Robotech" be fulfilled....Why the fuck would this man come all the way down from his own dubbing company and waste everyone's time with a such a useless installment like this? By all intents and purposes it has no significance in the universe canon at all. If anything it further screws it up because it hilariously tries to tie itself in with Shadow Chronicles when Shadow Chronicles says the entire New Generation ending never happened, which completely contradicts Lancer's monotonous history lesson.
