>>13419700Cage suffers immensely from his hubris.
Usually people will output or contribute towards that one utterly shameful project that causes them to stop being assholes and begin to show some semblance of humility. Cage doesn't have that. There's always some facet of Quantic Dream games that generate enough positive to neutral sentiment that he escapes the character building experience of absolute failure he'd need to really get his shit together.
And it frustrates me, looking at this guy and thinking the only way he'll really succeed at what he's going for is to fail spectacularly, for everyone in unison to call bullshit on at least one of his works, to look past the initial concept and find fault in its execution for once.
>>13419721In an ideal world it'll do that.
Instead I can imagine the press praising the choice of setting and the use of a female lead to show vulnerability and the plight of folks disadvantaged under a system that claims to promote equality but in actuality biases against certain groups; the game will be praised as an important message to our generation, "[minority] lives matter, tear down the patriarchy!"
Or some bullshit, I dunno.

And then the androids summon their ghost stands.
