What exactly is the function of this system? Is it to like funnel out extra photons or something? Is the same system on the Gaeon? It also has green panels when all of it's beams are activated.

Its Gundam. Things that glow are more powerful than things that don't glow.

If Char had thought to spray his Zaku with glow in the dark paint, he could have taken out the Nu Gundam in less than 10 seconds due to superior glowing.

All things considered, the dub wasn't that bad. I liked Dr. Hell, Baron Ashura and Professor Yumi, and Kouji wasn't too bad either. I feel like the biggest problems were with pronounciation. Who the hell pronounces "Tetsuya" as "tet-SOO-ya," or "Sayakka" as "sai-YA-ka?"

Honestly I still hold out hope that Shin Mazinger will be dubbed so that my normie friends will watch it.

Oh, I see what you mean now.

Well.. the HG and MG Wing Gundam don't seem to be able to do it because the end of the buster rifle blocks the hand from being able to grab the shield hold.. I could be wrong, though.

Well it was meant to look like it could withstand the shock and heat of a nuclear blast hence the bulkiness. Also, GP02's design is really lends itself a the villain's mobile suit (compared to the more traditional looking GP01).

With that said, I still haven't finished Steel 7 and Crossbone Ghost, while fun, seems pointless.
