>>13425895I really want to like the Zeta, but I just can't. Mk II blows it out of the water.
Also, this is unrelated, but can someone explain to me how we go from episode 46 to episode 47 of Zeta?
In episode 46, the AEUG suspects Hamon of betraying them when she meets with Scirocco and Hymen on her ship. Nobody is certain, and the only one who wants to kill her (and Scirocco) is Katz, because he's thinking with his dick. During the meeting, however, she tells Hymen to fuck off and Scirocco betrays both of them. Char kinda saves her by jumping into the room while Scirocco has her on gunpoint, distracting everyone until Sarah fires a laser and everything turns to chaos. Then Hamon and Scirocco have a newtype fight, Katz tries to kill Scirocco but Sarah pulls a Lalah and dies.
Everything makes sense here except Char listening to Katz for some reason.
In episode 47, they're carrying out an operation to defeat Hamon, and Katz is blaming her for Sarah's death. Even Camille is saying she shouldn't live because she "brings misfortune".
My questions are:
1) In what way does Hamon turn against the AEUG? Why are they doing the entire operation Maelstrom on her and not on Scirocco?
2) I know Katz is a turd and would blame anybody instead of himself for killing Sarah, but why say it was Hamon's fault when, if anybody, the next to blame would be Scirocco?
For 1, I guess I can assume that she betrayed the AEUG by going after the colony laser in between episodes, but that's a pretty heavy disconnect when not only we do not see it happen, but it doesn't even get mentioned. It feels like the show wants me to assume this is a natural turn of events after the last episode, when it clearly isn't.
For 2, I can only guess that Katz is gone completely crazy and everyone else is just playing along with him because Hamon is an enemy now, anyways.
Is that okay, or did I miss something obvious?
Also, why are Katz and Reccoa such shitty characters?
