Yeah there's tiny gripes, i wish more crew members had time to develop, but they aren't really the main focus. The focus is Cecily and her Grandfather, Seabook, Ironmask, and a bit of commentary on war crimes.
I though the Crossbone Vanguard were very interesting, all the mechanical designs were top notch, and it was fun.
If you didn't understand it then you weren't paying attention and if you are just put off by the "pacing", then you are really hung up on some fairly small moments of time skipping.
