It's a shame that the financial backers of the show thought that it was much better to focus the show entirely on trying to sell records rather than having it be a by-product. It's why SDF will always be a special kinda show and all the shows that are following it are gonna be tainted by the desire to sell 3 vocal soundtracks, two incidental sountracks, image soundtracks, remix albums, a compilation, etc etc etc. It's sad but at least they can never take away the original show from us.
