I like Okawara's mecha designs in this show.

It's great overall but I don't think it's as good as Takahashi's previous Votoms and Dougram. Got a little messy production-wise.

Nah. If anything, it's SLIGHTLY overrated. It was extremely popular and TV ratings for it shot thru the roof when it aired. So much that it managed to secure and OVA ending despite being cancelled.

Dude, Layzner was super popular when it aired back in the day. Just because a series wasn't saturated with merchandise or anything doesn't mean it wasn't recognized.

Love it. The first half for actually being good and the second half for being FotNS. No but seriously I liked the second half due to it being inherently interesting after the ending of the first. Biggest flaw is too much Gosterro, but that would've been fine if it had and extra ten episodes to spend on the more important parts.

Pacifist Chirico sounds like a bad idea on paper but they managed to not go overboard with it.

By us, /m/, perhaps. Only because we are starved for good robo shows, unlike our glorious Nihon-jin brethren. It's not the toppest of tiers but is certainly a very good show.
