Seriously? Tri-Zenon is hardly good. Fuck, it's hardly watchable without the so bad their good HK subs. I actual wish I wathced it with the HK subs the first time because they really do make it better. It isn't really an adventure show either, they spend most of it on the ship.

Others are all good choices though, for a given value of "adventure" at least. I'd tell OP to go with Vifam or Cobra personally.

I feel like Tri-Zenon gets worse after the first act, when they get allies that actually know what they're doing, rather than keep making their way through the invasion with the power of stupid. It still has its funny moments (and a strange case of a show where the title mech is actually the least effective of the good guy mechs) but it doesn't really get back up after that.

I personally found it hilarious, and had a good sense of exploration and adventure. The Ep with the dog accidentally becoming the captain of the ship is pure gold.

I will agree with you there. The dog is great. I'd actually probably enjoy Tri-Zenon in SRW just to play as the dog.

Watch NG Knight Lamune & 40, I think somebody dubbed it, but maybe it was only Fire that they dubbed. Don't watch the OVA, Fresh, it's trash but with a catchy theme song.

Gonna put my vote up for Heroic Age. What it suffers from with Hiraiface, it makes up for in being a weird space opera mashup of The Odyssey and Space Godzilla.

Also, every mystery raised during the show is tied up brilliantly in the last episode, making for one of the best finales I've seen in any anime.

Also also, space godzilla Bellcross punhing moon sized space bug colonies on a daily basis. And that's not even getting into the crazier shit he does.

Seriously, watch it.

They all have 40 in the title, so I'm not sure how someone would tell you that (although the original series does have a few follow-up OVAs). If anything, the first series is actually the best.

Not much space, but a whole load of adventure, and it does have robots and various contraptions.

It's a show that would be an all-time classic if not for the fact that the network it was on wanted it extended right in the middle of production...

German dubs exist. It's a pretty okay series featuring KNIGHTS WITH WINCHESTER RIFLES and a handful of: "Wow, this was clearly written in Japan"-scenes.
