Assuming I survive the first encounter, and considering I had overcome depression through force of will and did not have a tiny little brain, I'd probably use the AT-Field more aggressively. I wouldn't have wussed out of dismantling Touji's EVA, for example, and I would've broken formation to go support the other EVAs.
Don't know if I would've jumped in the volcano, though. Probably. Eventually.

Like, don't get me wrong, I was an prissy little asshole and you wouldn't have wanted me as a friend, but man I would've kicked ass. I mean, many of the emotional problems of the cast are stuff I had dealt with and overcame, so I wouldn't have been so insecure.
