>>13428925Yeah, I actually dig a fair chunk of the tweaks like that. The way I look at it, it keeps with the fantasy theme of the series, and is fixing the usual screw ups that come up in the translation process.
Then there's the occasional baffling shit like somehow getting 'Elmelie' out of 'Riml'.
>>13428998If I remember correctly, a mix of timing and translation issues, and the Hulu subs dropping made the project seem unnecessary. The Hulu subs have their own problems though, including completely missing lines. Which is resulting in me having to stitch in the TV-N subs every so often to fill in the blanks.
Keep in mind, if we get LoDM DVDs at this point, we're going to be getting the Hulu subs on disc, warts and all. Toei is notorious for providing in house translations and refusing to let outsiders fix their mistakes.
