This thread made me pay attention to what seemed initinally as trash on a tree and turned out to be a bird.

It was mostly black, with white tail and lower regions, along with the underside of its wings. Its neck and head was black, but spotted in white dots.

It actually looked quite interesting. Can't say i ever saw a bird like that in my neighbourhood.

Is anyone here an onrnithologist enough as to tell me the species' name?

The head was on the rounder side. It's beak was quite little, like a pigeon's. It's size was similar to that of one, maybe a little bigger - could've been that it was due to being puffed up though. Its tail was longer than that of pigeon's, lf that i'm quite sure - and was protruding like that of a magpie, though more down to the ground. It was shorter than a full-fledged mapie's though.
