Equestria Divided is an alternate universe where the Mane 6 are no longer friends. They've gone their separate ways, to form factions that vie for dominance in Equestria.

What exactly is the astral plane, and how does it relate to ED?

The cult has a connection to it, but because of Ethereal units like Nightmares and Ethereal projectors, I think M&S has a link to it too.

Its just another of pooryoricks undeveloped ideas. So far it seems to function like the warp from warhammer 40k, a hellish alternate dimension of chaos and sorcery.

Basically. Maybe ghosts are the souls of the guilty or restless dead? Like how Twilight was able to get Starswirl's ghost.

Yorick was implying that there'd be greater cosmological threads in the setting.

I think the astral plane could be expanding, because the twins are gone.

Could that be a result of a driving force or a possible return to a natural state of things, like perhaps once it was contained but now its reasserting itself. Or maybe there is something pushing for the expansion.

Moon Dancer was one of the earliest members of the house, joining it after Pegasus riots damaged Canterlot's libraries.

A full Magister, Moon Dancer is also the House's chief archivist. She's considered a useful tool by Twilight Sparkle, but nothing more.

The Arch-Magister doesn't even remember they used to be friends.

As far a I can see, the cult can't make up it's mind between wanting to specialize in eldritch abominations, or the undead.

Taking a page from the vampire counts, a ghoulish type of unit would be nice.

I think the Eldritch creatures are probably like Chaos Daemons, in the sense that the cult needs to do intensive rituals beforehand to get them out of the astral plane. And even then, the creatures can only exist in Equestria for a short amount of time.

All the cult has for undead is the laughing dead and those dolls.

Meanwhile, there are Pillars of Joy, Alicorn Mockeries,Grinning Worms, and other units I have probably forgotten from the expanded list.

That seems weird to me. Also, i really dislike the use of grinning worms to carry chariots and things like that. I feel like Grinning worms shouldn't be that common.

I honestly would like more balance in their forces, as i do like the necromancers with a carnival theme they have.

Like, they channel the astral plane by throwing huge parties, that are so much fun the dead get out of the ground to join.
