The spear head is the type that gets stuck in whatever is pierces so if we can get him to stab something like a cart or a corpse then he'll be defenseless while he tries to retrieve it. Alternatively we can dodge a strike and try to catch the spear with the edge of our shield or sword and pull him is so we can attack.

I like the "trap the spear and pull it" plan too, but there are likely to be excellent hurl-able missiles around. Strike either way as opportunity presents itself.

It's nice to play someone who knows how to fight.

He dropped his spear in the picture, crowd him away from that weapon and get stabby. stabs are hard to deal with if you have no means to deflect them and he doesnt.
