He nods at her next statements. He'd probably only slow them down anyway. Especially now, after all that struggle.

Lumi looks at Canopy expectantly. He isn't really acquainted with the viallge, hence for now, he listens to the giantess and tries to help however he can in whatever way she deems it right.

You pounce on the unsuspecting seat. It's rather soft and cushy; perfect for resting one's head after an over-consumption of alcoholic drinks.

As Shadow gives a run down of what happened, you can see the two pumpkins peeking around a corner, the colt looking a bit scared and the filly giggling her head off.

Canopy looks down at Lumi, smiling warmly.
"Thank you, Friend of Tendra Lumi."
She then takes off with a few others of her kind back to the waterfall. As she does, you watch as the tired and injured are brought to the garden area, where several of the other Tendras were resting before, as well as your pumpkin at one point.

After having seen her off, Lumi indeed does wander off towards the group Canopy mentioned, along with his minion. He eyes the group silently first, trying to judge what might he and his companion actually help at. They were probably busy already as to not grab their attention needlessly now. If he's wrong as far as that goes or if he cannot make heads or tails of what they're doing, he says, trying to keep it simple:

"Excuse me. How can i help?"

He may be filly-sized for them, but still...

Gloria, after making sure to help bring the sick and injured back and making sure to do a proper cleansing inside of the cave in case the necromancer had possibly left behind a few minions. Once everyone has retreated back to the garden area, she sits as she watches the others being cared for as she polishes her weapon.

As you all leave, the bartender waves goodbye and wishes you all good luck on finding the guards.

After all three experience yet another high-speed, whiplash inducing ride, they arrive back to the hospital. You all walk up to the receptionist counter, where a stallion wearing a business skirt sits at a phone.
"Oh hello, are you here visiting a patient, or...?"

Both watch the car levitate away, but only the filly makes and attempt to grab it back.
"Hey! That's ours!"
She jumps to grab it, which she does, but doesn't have the strength to take it and is carried along in the levitation as well.

Shadow eyes the pepper oddly.
"Wait...you serious? I hate peppers," she says, crossing her hooves and not eating it.

The Captain takes the pepper, shrugs, and eats the entire thing. Including the stem.
"Ooh, nice little kick. Really warms ye right down to the soul."

Most of the mares are rushing around, getting things prepared and ready. One, however, is able to look away from her work and acknowledge you, which is met with a smile.
"You helped plenty, but if keep helping you wish, help prepare soil."

She guides you over to a plot of dirt. A large, palmtree-looking creature stands nearby, resting on thick roots and some unknown fruit growing from it.
"Need only dig down, deep enough to lay in, shallow to not bury," she motions to a neighboring plot, showing one of the survivors buried up to their necks, receiving water and food with another large plant (a prickly-looking bush) nearby.
"Tendra healing work best if thing to heal in ground."

You watch as Lumi goes over to help the rest of the villagers. You also watch as the survivors are buried up to their necks, the mares nursing them with food and water, while the Tendras nearby seem to lay their roots into the ground near the buried tribals.

As you polish your weapon, a piece of paper magically appears on the ground in front of you. It bears symbols much like the paperwork back in The Underworld. The paper has the heading 'Intern Confirmation Approved', with a massive wall of text under it, seemingly describing codes of conduct and something about 'now being approved to begin handling sensitive forms.' A small area at the bottom asks for a signature, as well as a check box saying 'I have read and greed to these terms.'

Focusing back to Shadow, He levitates the pepper down to her hooves.
"Those worms eat away at your immune system. If you don't eat this pepper you're just asking for worse things down the road."
He levitates the pepper up towards her muzzle, within biting distance.
"Doctor's orders."

He began working in the ground. Digging with his hooves if nothing better for his size was there. He slipped glances at the sides, to check just where does the border between "laying" and "burying" for them went.

He sure crossed the latter for himself, as far as that went. If he got to have a companion of any sorts nearby, he dared ask:

"How exactly does that Tendra healing work...?"

"I'll think of something later," Shadow says through clenched teeth, clearly not liking the idea of being forced fed a spicy pepper. Though at the description of being told what'll happen otherwise, she relents.
"Geez, fine."
She opens her mouth and takes the tiniest of bites, using only her front teeth. It looks like only a mouse-sized crumb was taken out of the pepper.
"There? Happy?"

Lumi pondered how much of vegetables were these mares... sure it sounded like a balm at first, but with all the symbiotic relationship on so many biological levels, with recreation ivolved... the crystal pony wondered whether the mares, being just ponies initially, acquired some plant qualities while the so-called Tendras acquired minds akin to those of sentient beings..

Deep Roots... gues it's greenery-related naming that is customary. No surprise here.

At Crux saying he was a guy, a number of the stallions give a groan, some form of 'aww', or give a slightly saddened look. When Morning said Crux was with her, the remaining stallions did the same thing, and perhaps even a few of the mares waiting there as well.

"I'm sorry, but no. They're at wherever the Lunar Guard's medical center is, but the location is not exactly public knowledge for some reason. I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you today, ma'am."

You begin checking the papers over. You spot some minor things, such as undotted i's and j's, or uncrossed t's. Sometimes a word used wrong, or spelt incorrectly. Each form you signed, it vanishes to the Underworld. You even take the time to look over some of them, such as a form for the requisition of 'moondust' with a form attached to make it a business expense tax write off.

The fillies around you don't bother you, but watch on. Some get up and leave, while others keep watching and give a small 'ooo' at the forms magically disappearing. One begins to mimic your claw movements with a stick in the dirt. It more looks like random, squiggly lines than actual words, though.

Deep Roots gives a bit of a laugh, wiping her brow as she finishes her plot.

She motions as two more survivors walk over, one for Lumi's hole, and one for Deep Root's.

She begins to move dirt over the placed villager, looking at Lumi to watch him do the same, smiling.
"Otherwise, no much else tell."

She giggles lightly when she sees some of them try to write in the dirt, keeping most of her focus on her work. Every now and then she would look up to scan the village almost as if she's on guard duty as well as secretary duty.

That actually helped Lumi in cutting down on the number of question he was the to ask. The rest would probably go to Canopy. What exactly was in these woods, to have even as big mares as them scared?

"Well... guess at least one danger from around the village is gone. Canopy mentioned creatures of jungle being dangerous too. I wonder just how big must those be compared to you... guess i'll ask Canopy."

Working alongside the mare, he has some second thoughts about the events that've been surrounding him and Gloria for the last hours and asks:

"May i know what exactly do these tribal masks mean to you?"

He wonders whether he could get to know something about the one dropped by the necromancer... he dared not ask directly, as they seemed to have been disturned by it. However, he is genuinely interested in what they actually mean too.

You keep going through the forms, the kids watching but otherwise not bothering you much since you look pretty focused. Eventually, you finish the last form. Overall, not too many mistakes, but even the Underworld doesn't appear to be perfect.

With you done, one of the fillies finally says words.

Then the others chime in, almost all at once.
"Where you from?"

Seems the griffon has attracted the kid's attention and curiosity.

The mare listens to the question, gently patting the dirt. The Tendras at both spots plant their roots into the ground, the dirt on the buried ponies shifting around as the roots also move around them.

Deep Root briefly goes to a plot next to them, takes two pieces of fruit from a Tendra, and returns.

She hands Lumi a fruit; a bright-orange fruit shaped like a nub-covered football. It is quite soft to the touch.
"When we talk to pony, we talk to mask. We talk to parts of them they value."
