>>25274434Well, this one is less of an animation easter egg and more of a conceptual detail that really stands out if you look at it. I had to have someone else
a pony reviewer point it out for me at first, but now I can't unsee it, especially in the last episode.
Pinkie tends to mellow out quite a bit whenever she's around family. She doesn't act out particularly extreme, maybe a bit of flair as usual, but she has a very sudden and rather respectful change of demeanor. She'll be more quiet, her voice will not be as high pitched, and she listens more intently. Especially in the last ep, if you listen, Pinkie sounds very subdued and controlled relative to previous performances.
Prime example (and the one that was shown to me) was the scene where she talked with Maud on the train, not even having a single outburst, just opening up to Maud about her feelings on the situation, which normally, she does in private.
Also makes me notice how she seems to open up a bit from her "shell" of joy and thus becomes quite more vulnerable to a sad situation, especially when it comes to people not getting along with her family, causing her to allow herself to get disheartened, stressed out, or worse. You can tell that she cares for her family just as much, if not more than herself, and any insult to them she takes on very personally such as in pic related.
I dunno. It's been standing out a lot to me. Made Pinkie rise up on my list of best characters for sure.
