>>25158822>>25158843I'm so sorry>>25157172>>25157179>>25157213>>25158005"RUN!"
Carver and Flashbang look at you for a moment before the lightbulb goes off, like they forgot running was a thing.
Everyone breaks into a sprint, the three skeletons hot on your tails.
Damn skeletons don't tire. You can knock them down, but that would only buy you so much time.
You've got to destroy them.
"Carver! You and I are taking them out again!"
>"'Kay!"She firmly plants a front hoof into the ground and spreads open a single wing.
She pivots cleanly on the limb and once she's turned around, she kicks off the ground and delivers a vicious shoulder tackle to one of them.
You turn and skid backwards along the dirt and grass, and like a baseball, you swing at the incoming skeleton.
The bones of both the skeletons go flying, settling in two neat piles.
Carver squares up against the third as it runs towards her, and like her battle against Tank, she charges straight at it in a dueling joust.
Then there were three bone piles.
"Flashbang, blow them up!"
She looks unsure but tosses the bombs anyway. The bones start floating up, about to reassemble, but then the blasts go off.
When the smoke and dust clears, the piles of bones have been reduced to crumbles, no larger than pebbles.
Flashbang looks ecstatic.
>"Yes! We did it!""Come on, let's keep moving. We're not safe until we reach shelter."
Carver exhales deeply before agreeing.
You all get jogging towards the fortress again, and you realize how much distance you've made.
One of the giant seeds is planted in the ground ahead.
It's about a story tall and six feet wide. Its celled skin resembles that of a pineapple's, and jagged-edged leaves droop from the top to about halfway down its side.
