Well, as much I would love to just slap someone's mouth shut right now, I know that nothing is really going to make much of a difference. I'm pretty much leaving as of now and at this point I'm not even expecting the thread to be any less crazier by nightfall.

If you have the time then you might want to make a plan. It helps to make a story that builds up to something or to foreshadow things. Readers like a story where they can look back and think "so that's where it was going".
A plan also helps the writer spread out plot points and development so changes won't seem sudden.

For example, let's say you're writing "Vampires vs Werewolves". At some point you decide vampires need to go and devise a zombie apocalypse. You should mention here and there something about biological weapons and how vampires need fresh blood to survive. Build up towards it. People won't like it if you cut an arc short (no matter how long and tiring) by droping a "Fuck! Zombies!" followed by "The next day Bella and Jakob starved to death".

And now that I think about it, good stories have increasing intensity. You can't dial back because then it'd seem dull to the reader.
Back to the zombie apocalypse, let's say that as it turns out, the Hollow Earthlings caused the outbreak to soften up the surface dwellers! But wait, there's more! The zombie virus was developed by one of two rivaling corporations who competed for government funding. The other one developed sentient battle drones. So now the reader reads a story about motherfucking Vampires vs Werewolves vs Zombies vs Deros vs Robots. Humanity wins, rebuilds it's cities and we're back to highschool drama about a dumb whore who can't decide if she wants upside-down or doggie style. See where I'm going? Robots.

Also the sun is up and I need to sleep.

I have a clear enough plan. I already know who our mystery villain is, what it's objective is, and a few possibilities for how it could be defeated. I have also come up with how the very end of Dazzling Daughters will go.

But there is something I like about making the story as I go along. A plan just seems to restrictive to me. I know I sound absolutely nuts, but I think my improv is what gives it some flare and the source of my inspiration.

And as for intensity, well Sal, you're in for a treat. There is a string that will tie this entire story together. And it all has to do with the villain we have now.

The end is nigh. I will be wrapping up the story by the end of this arc.

It's now canon that traveling between worlds is like traveling through the warp, at least time-wise. Hence why Sunset and the Dazzlings are still teens. It took Sunset some time to reach the EqG world. The Dazzlings were probably traveling real slow for at least a lifetime, seeing how Starswirl is probably dead (but not really because he is someone's Gary Stu, so expect him to show up like a Deus ex machina when the zerg Overmind invades Equestria or something).

I wouldn't put it past the writers to introduce sirenkind as seaponies. The Dazzlings, being bratty, restless and ambitious, fit the profile of wayward youths. It wouldn't be out of character for them to have left the siren territories to make a life for themselves. And since power=mutation in FiM and EqG, it's entirely possible they found the gems and were transformed into their monstrous forms by their influence.
I like to think that rather than be reformed, the Dazzlings will grow up, get wise from their experiences and return home blessed with wisdom and empathy. Kinda like the Asari.

Greedy and self-worshipping people like the Dazzlings would be loathe to give in order to get something. Especially give of themselves. I doubt they'd lay with someone if they haven't first decided that he is the one they want to leech off of for the rest of their lives.

Just got back from Nightmare Nights Dallas. Got some art of Adagio and Sonata signed by Kazumi and Maryke. I got a Aria piece too but her VA wasn't there. Those two were unbelievably friendly, they were asking more personal questions about me than I could ask about them. I tried my best to keep the spaghetti in check.

Fife really only trolled with MTG when people got on him, unless you count leaving and trash talking us in his general.

The reason people keep on these names I assume is because they didn't stop doing it. Back when it was more lively you had names all over and stories being dumped all of the time. Hype got hate for being friends with MTG. MTG is pretty much toxic for those who associate themselves with. I haven't spoken with him but other contentfags claim he is a fun guy. Whatever the case, he had impersonators.

I'd definitely agree many anons got used to the huge influx of content and their creators. It was a little odd for me as someone who's been here a really long time, but it made sense as a progression.

I think that kind of derisive simplification was and still can be part of the issue. It's really easy to forget when lurking/posting that we're all people that are more than the sum of our posts. I was there and it wasn't as bad as some Anons made it out to be, but I understood their anger on him doing that. It really was the trip that made the issue though, if he'd just posted it as Anon no one would have really cared since they wouldn't have had the history and personal investment. Regardless, it's happened to everyone who's dared to make the name/tripfag journey at some point or another.

It's true. This general has always been incredibly "normal" compared to many of the others here. It's strange, but interesting.

I think you meant to respond to Sal on this point, but I still think it stands. It's a very common problem on /mlp/ and you can see it happen many, many times through this general's history.

Well I hope everyone takes a lesson from the event and actually goes about ignoring the guy from now on. It's so much nicer. They probably won't, but I can always hope.
