The channel that literally got me hooked (Till I was able to get a dish) on the show got shut down. It was only time anyhow... Though I noticed other channels as well has had even their videos removed. Dang... That kinda sucks now. I used to just download the videos after watching there with Ant video and when I noticed I couldn't do that anymore, I realized the video had just been removed.

Ok pony butts, where else can you catch up on the show that hasn't been shut down yet?

I've always find amazing how YouTube deletes the episodes just a couple of hours after they are uploaded and DailyMotion just didn't give a fuck.

The episodes all being on youtube back in the day was how many of us, myself included, were first able to watch and get into the show. If the episodes aren't fucking available to stream online for free for everybody then just how the hell does Hasbro expect to attract a larger audience to the show?

The show is on it's last seasons and the fanbase has already been established and started shrinking. There is nothing more to gain or grow.

Smaller ratings and reported loss of toys in the last few business reports, plus pretty much every single Con other than Bronycon has announced smaller attendee-ship and overall lack of fan content being produced compared to the last years.

It's ending, people are moving on, the fad bubble has burst, now they cover their losses while they still can.

The pony part of MLP went up last quarter. It was EQG that brought the brand down and it isn't a "loss of toys" it was a loss in the percent increase in purchases compared from last year's quarter to this one.

Actually Hasbro admitted it was thier fault for that. Latest investor thing had them say that the hugeass hiatus was their fault and attributed it to the sales decline.

The fanbase is shrinking BECAUSE they're no longer attracting new viewers by allowing free streaming online. Shows always lose some viewers over time, but the show's viewership doesn't necessarily decrease because they also gain new viewers, and new viewers cant exist if the show isnt easily accessible to them.

Is there even proof the fanbase is shrinking? It just feels like it's growing but it's less excited compared to the beginning which is understandable because it's been 5 years.

A huge amount of fancontent is produced still and I believe at a faster rate too.

This. The fandom isn't dying as many people say; it's simply a lot less excited, crazy, and flamboyant than it was in the old days. We've simply matured, and we're producing a lot more content indeed, and brony convention attendance keeps going up as well for all major cons.
Hasbro needs to get it together.

Don't worry, its not ending. You can easily get that impression because /mlp/ is a lot slower and the shows ratings are going down, but if you step out of /mlp/ you see that stuff is still being produced at the same rate, if not even more kinda sucks, I preferred /mlp/ over all alternatives and its still the best performing show on DCF, DCF just sucks in general and thus drags the show down.

actually the interesting thing is looking through the Hasbro quarterly report thing that was being bandied about a few days ago, while the MLP band overall is indeed suffering losses, if you break down the brand itself, the FiM horses themseves are actually holding stead, and growing slightly- its the EQG stuff that is in a nose dive, and dragging the horses along with it by making the overall brand go into negative territory (which includes both the horses and the EQG)

So you have an unfortunate case of the EQG brand failing harder than ponies are succeeding, causing a net retreat

and while neither is related to the "fandom" itself specifically, it is the the metric by which the powers that be judge success or failure, and decide where to go with the property

Hopefully. Because at least as far as Hasbro merchandising is concerned, if they don't manage to make people actually buy EQG stuff, or jettison it entirely, it could grow to be the cancer that finally kills this incarnation of the brand off

I would hate to see them finally wrap up G4 because it started "failing" when the horses themselves have always had positive growth, but died due to EQG collateral damage in the brand

There are still lots of episodes on Dailymotion. They don't seem to care as much as you think.

If you search for "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", you'll find 20 or more complete uploads of that episode.
