Limestone's thing wasn't that she's obsessed with the boulder. She sees herself as the next one in line to take up the family position, since she's the eldest sister.
As such, she keeps her family's traditions and values very close to her heart which is why she was the first to tell the Apple family to go home and why she wants others to respect Holder's Boulder. She's going to own the rock farm one day and she's going to be the head of the family when Igneous and Cloudy pass away.
She really cares about her family and that's really admirable.
