Getting started shortly.
Summary of the last thread's events.
> You managed to help AJ defeat the wolves. > Though she basically tortured you after. > After some time you finally get to have a conversation with the girls that wasn't threatened by a life or death situation. > Shortly after it became a life or death situation. > You were split into two, one half dealing with digging deeper into the mystery while the other just conversed and dicked around. > Eventually the Anon investigating came back to the original, dragging a pissed off army of monsters with him. > After you met your doppelganger the two of you, with the help of the girls try and fight your way out. Do not read the next part if you are not caught up, or not following this story.

>>25234834 > The two of you walked in silence, Pinkies and Flutters sobs fading in the background. > Celestia stared at the upturned earth solemnly. > A grim look over-fell her features, pretty fitting for the mood everybody was in. > Rarity tried her best to comfort the deflating Pinkie while Dash just stared blankly at the ground. > "Damn, she was a tough girl." "Mhm..."
> You continue to scan the forest line, the darkness behind it hiding whatever else was in there pretty well. > "Do you think..." "What?"
> You had a feeling what he was hinting at. > "She might be, you know..." He seemed to turn silent, afraid one of the girls might hear him. > You knew what he was hinting at. "Yes, yes maybe... If it was planned... But if it wasn't then she's gone for good."
> He nodded silently, turning away from you. > The two of you stared at the sky, the realistic moon sending shivers up your spine. > You knew it was fake but it looked too real to be anything but the moon. > Oh well... > It didn't take long for the two of you to find a way out. > The forest was shallower than it had seemed, and with the both of you searching it was exceedingly easy to find your way out. > You had found another pair of double doors, these ones covered in vines and shrubbery. > You waited for the girls to finish politely. > You had been in the game for awhile, so naturally this didn't affect you as much as it should've. > Like you had said before. > Sometimes it can't be helped. > Especially not in the upside down world that you lived in. > You dealt with the reaper every single day. > How you had survived this long amazed even you to be honest. > By the time the girls finished they just moved on silently. > Dash had a hard look plastered on her face. > She looked about ready to take on whatever else came her way. > Rarity seemed to be hurt as well but she was trying her hardest not to show it. > Fluttershy let the water gates flow freely, no-one wanting to shut her up despite the attention. > Pinkie stared at the ground angrily. > Her skin seemed darker than before. > Er... scratch that. > All of her features seemed more darkened than before. > And her hair was flat again. > It looked so bad on her. > The two of you open the doors for the girls; letting them through. > Normally you would have cracked a joke revolving around 'M'lady', but you felt as if it would fall flat right now. > You stepped in after them. > You were in the REAL gym now, the glossy floor shining in the fake moonlight. > Hm.... > You step in fully, scanning the rafters over head. > Nothing suspicious so far... > Rarity walked in after you, her arms folded over her chest. > She peered at the rafters for a second. > "There's something up there..." She muttered. > Before anybody else could react a chuckle came from all around. > A figure flipped from the rafters, hovering in the air. > "So you have figured it out? Bleh, I vill be vith you shortly." > It was a guy that sounded like the generic movie vampire. > You peel away the ghetto shield. > You tossed it to Celestia, her frame much more suited for it than yours. > Other you did the same, giving her an effective body guard. > She dropped your spear and kicked it over. > You stopped it with your feet and leaned over picking it up. > The girls were staring at you, most likely surprised at your communication. > Hey, Hunters had to communicate. > She readied the 'shields' peering through them. > A man in fashionable dress touched down a couple feet away from you. > He adjusted his blood red suit and gave you a toothy smile. > "Velcome! Velcome! I vill be taking care of you tonight." > Uhg... > This guys was terrible. > From the way he was making Rarity fume you could tell she was already at her point. > "Y-You foolish, slobbering dolt!" She shouted. "You're a disgrace to our kind! None of us would and ever will act like that!" > "Vell..." > "Shut up!" Rarity rushed him. > "Fledglings!" The generic vamp shouted taking to the air.

Before I get started on the sequel, I need some input. Horror or Fantastical? Who is Canterlot High's resident occultist (or their leader, if there are several)? Who was Fluttershy's sire/dam-in-darkness? In addition to vampires and ghosts, what other types of supernatural entities exist in this world? CMC Junior Investigators a go or no? Who gets the worst ending?

Okay, that's it for tonight. Namely because I feel like I gotta work over some stuff, and leave it off on a curious note. To be honest it was hard writing that part, namely because I was trying to play it off without too much edge but hey. Only so much an Autist can do. Other part of the story will be posted tomorrow and to those wondering. Yeah, that's about as dark as it's going to get.

I'm not 100% on what you mean by Fantastical >Who is Canterlot High's resident occultist (or their leader, if there are several)? With something like this my mind jumps to Twi but seeing as she's already established I'd say Trixie could be a good choice.
>Who was Fluttershy's sire/dam-in-darkness? I'm guessing this means who turned Flutters but I can't say I have any thoughts on this.
>In addition to vampires and ghosts, what other types of supernatural entities exist in this world? I think we should carry on the trend of classic movie monsters and folklore monsters whilst staying clear from the more fetish type ones.
>CMC Junior Investigators a go or no? CMC Junior Investigators could lead to some wacky hijinks and would probably need saving at some point.
>Who gets the worst ending? If you're carrying on from Rarity going off the deep end I'd say she could be in line for bad end.
Also I'd love to see some cute and/or sexy Sunset/Rainbow Dash in the next part.

Okay, I think what I might do with this story is pull a Stoker, go until a certain part and put it on hiatus until next autumn. I just don't see it getting done with good quality any time soon, and I don't wish to muck up the threads. Though I won't stop writing once the story is over for the year, I'm going back to Ubermensch for a bit, then most likely just gonna lurk for some prompts here and there. I feel like if I keep going to quality of the content and characters will just rocket down. I will stick around for those other stories though, they will be enjoyable. I'm going to write for a bit more until a certain part of the plot and that's not coming for a bit. So stick around if you're following the story.

>>25253129 From what I've seen, when this sort of things happen they normally pause the story and move on to a different one then return when they're back in the groove. Anyway I'd if you're not feeling the story go off and do whatever you want, if you return that'd be great if not don't force yourself to write for the sake of writing.

'That guy' when I started my write-faggotry.
You know the guy who never finishes their stories?
I will be back next year as I have no intent of leaving /mlp/ unless I either die, it dies, or I'm supreme world commander by then.
Two of those are not happening.
So yeah, once I get the bug for this story I will gladly start-up again, it's just I usually commit to these things to the end.
I just see everything going downhill from here on out if I try and finish the story by now.
On a side note, I'll start writing soon. I've just got some homework to finish up.

"A hunch?"

> "When did you realize it wasn't real?" the figure asked. > You shrug. "Realistically when the second me came into play. I mean really? That's just stupid."
> You could feel a cold smile forming under the hood. > "You're smarter than you look." > You nod, scratching your chin. "Say, what are you anyway? With that hair style I would say Carrot tops great grandmother."

"Okay... so Mister Sandman; what did you want with these girls?"> A low chuckle came from the figure. > "I guess you're not smarter than I thought." > Wow, rude. > "Don't you get it idiot? Eyes have been on you since you asked about... 'him'..." "Who?"> "Shhh!" > This creature seemed legitimately scared. > "We do not speak his name, it is forbidden by Mother." "You better stop being so cryptic Mister Keeper or I'll find a way to-"> "To what? You can't do nothing to me! I've seen you commence your little investigation Hunter, you're as useless as all of your kind." > One thing you noticed was that there was a lack of Sunset and Luna here. > So how were they with you in the dream? > Oh well, you weren't getting anything from this guy. "Where are the other two girls?"> "As if I would tell you." "Cooome on, any second now these girls are gonna wake up. You've got their friends, you really think they're gonna take it easy on ya'?"> A smirk came from under the robe. "I'll never tell you, Mother wouldn't allow me too." "Hmmm, blah, blah, blah I'm an idiot? Seriosuly I'm kind of busy right now. Can't really deal with the enigma that you are right now."> "You're both idiots! He's not tough!" Other you said getting back up. > He slammed back into the wall with a grunt. > "Okay, maybe he is a little tougher than he looks..." > "I'm just going to kill you both! Mother will be proud of me then!" > It let out a maniac laugh. > A pressure suddenly found its way on your chest. > The air slipped from your lungs. > At first it was fine until the burning came. > Every cell in your body burned with pain. > You head pounded against your skull, a visible pulsing taking your vision. > Okay, any moment now you would wake up... > No... > Okay... > You gasp for air, fighting the instinct to claw at your throat. > "Say your prayers, little one~" > The Sandman stopped laughing, snapping his head to the Other you. > He picked himself up from the wall slowly. > "Don't forget, my son~" > "W-What is this?" > Other you spun on his heel, hopping up on one of the tables. > "To include everyone~!" "Keep you free from sin!"> He glared at you, throwing his hand at you as well. > The ground left your feet, your back meeting with one of the tables resting among the area. > Wonderful.... > You roll over like a stiff log. > With a pathetic cough you lay on your belly now, trying your best to move past the pain. > An unconscious Pinkie lay in front of you, her expression twitching in fear of something. > Well that was good, earlier when you got up they were all comatose. > A shuffle from Dash rouses your attention. > They would wake up any moment now. > All you had to do was keep the guy busy... > "I can't wait too see the two of you annoying fools sleep forever." > Edge! > You sit up, letting out a pained sigh. > This business wasn't an enjoyable one to be honest. > You slowly get off of the table, all of the Sandman's attention on Other you. > Moving low you sprint forward. > Just as you got close enough you sprung forward, taking the two of you down. > His grip on Other you released with a surprised shout. > "Get off of me disgusting human!" he shouted. "That's racist!"> Oh there's the pressure again. > You clutch at your chest, keeling over in pain. > He got the Other you with the same trick, the two of you miming each others pained and sporadic movements. > The Sandman began to laugh again. > Throwing his head back the laughter filled the room. > "Love me Mother!" Confess to everyone else that you simply watched as she butchered their friend? >You don’t have the heart to tell them that; you’re not a brave enough man to fight back against Rarity, even though you’re not sure she wouldn’t slash her own throat for you if you said the word. >She’d do it, and you’re pretty sure she’d do it with a smile. >Anything to please you. >But you can’t – you just can’t – you can’t be the cause of another death, even if she deserves it. >You’re not even sure of that, anymore. >She did save your life, after all, and she was the first of the girls to think of Fluttershy’s pets. >And the date last night, coerced though it was… >Well, you haven’t been on many, but you think it went pretty smoothly. >Some of your friends had even asked about it earlier today. You have no idea how they had known, but Rarity was right – simply publicly going out someplace was enough for word to get around. >You had told them it was alright, that no one died. >They laughed at your joke, and you hated yourself even more, because you actually had been joking. >”I do not believe so,” Rarity answers, before starring off into the sky. “You know, in all the time I have known my friends, I do not believe I have ever met any of their parents.” >Yeah, you know the feeling. Sometimes, you wonder if you’re living in one of those Chinese cartoons where everyone is in middle school and has their own apartment. >Still, once you reach the house, you motion for Rarity to knock on the door. If someone is home, they probably know of her, even if she hasn’t met them. >She doesn’t question it, immediately releasing your arm and skipping ahead two steps to rap daintily, eschewing the doorbell. >”Too noisy,” you can imagine her saying. “It just lacks that essential human touch.” >After a minute, Rarity knocks again, slightly harder. >There still isn’t any response. “We might as well go, I guess.”

At least one of them should react to the noise. “Well, what now?”
>Maybe there’s a spare key hidden in one of the bushes. If not, maybe you can rely on some good Hollywood staples. You take a step back and look to both sides of the house. The fence is low enough to climb without too much difficulty, and you might get lucky with an unsecured back door. Fluttershy seemed like the kind of trusting soul to leave her… front… door... totally… unlocked. >”Shall we?” Rarity asks, waving a hand towards the open door. >Deep down, you knew that would happen as soon as you started looking for a more complicated solution, and so you feel no embarrassment at all as you walk through the doorway. >The smell immediately hits you, sending you back out the door gagging. >You had expected something – the usual pet smells – but not this. >Not the sickly sweet stench of rotting flesh. “I think we’re too late.”

I think I can accommodate most of the suggestions so far, in one form or another. For example, Photo Finish as head of the Paranormal Photography Club, Trixie as head of the Occult Studies Club, and Sunset as the only one who actually knows a damn thing. Not entirely sure about making the CMCs monsters, but we'll see how that goes. I've already done that once and I'd hate to repeat myself, after all. Anything else?

>>25258350 >You have a fairly good idea what you will find inside, and it shouldn't be how Fluttershy is remembered. >"Anon! Wait!" “I have to do this, Rarity.”
>You don’t want to. In fact, between the stench and your nerves, it’s a wonder you don’t run screaming all the way to your own home, but you can’t. You can’t let anyone find out what Fluttershy did. >You owe her that much, at least. >There isn’t much time to spare. The wind does nothing to sweep away the stench; it simply *spreads* it. >A few of the neighbors are starting to look suspiciously towards the house. One even cuts the motor on his lawnmower and approaches slowly. >Everyone knows something is wrong. "There... might be someone inside that needs help!"
>Someone is going to call the police. In fact, one of the onlookers pulling her phone from her purse right now. >You can't let them find her victim. >Fluttershy wasn't herself; it wasn't her fault. >"Don't touch anything!" Rarity calls out as you charge in. "Please!" >You immediately bash your shin against something thin and wiry. >"What was that!?" "Don't know!"
>The house is pitch black. With all of the lights off and curtains pulled tightly shut, the only illumination is the afternoon sun shining through the open doorway. >It's just barely enough for you to find what's left of the light switch. More of a hole in the wall, really. >Common sense tells you not to touch the bare wires, and for once you listen. twiligh/tg/ame_night !u9y.Yl1Law
>>25267691 >"Anon!?" "I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING! THE LIGHTS ARE BUSTED, SO I'M GOING TO TRY FOR A WINDOW!"
>After a few more bruises, you stumble into a wall. You follow it, feeling blindly for a curtain or other hint of a window. It’s only a few feet before you feel cloth. >You pull at it - nothing. It doesn’t give. Fumbling around the edge, it’s not hard to figure out why. >Grabbing on with both hands, you heave with all your strength, tearing the curtain free from the wall in a hail of staples, nails, and torn duct tape. "... the hell...?"
>The tape you knew about, but the rest seems a little excessive just to keep the light out, even for a vampire. >"ANON!?" "Found it!"
>The light pours in, revealing shredded furniture and - from the outline - what you assume are cages beneath heavy cloth. >Her pets. >That would explain the lack of noise. If she covered the cages, they're probably all sleeping. >Or does that only work on birds? >Whatever. It's not important right now. >You shrug mentally and look around the room. Empty tubes of sunscreen have been thrown haphazardly in one corner and a wide-brimmed hat hangs from a hook by the door. Stains mar the carpet and discarded clothes litter the floor, enough to remind you of your bedroom. >Aren't girls supposed to be cleaner than this? >But no body, no sign of the person she killed. >You have to go further in. >>25268004 >The stench – and the destruction – grow more and more prevalent the deeper you go. Light fixtures have been torn from the ceilings, piles of filthy clothes and sheets cover the floor. The kitchen walls are covered in rotting food – it looks like the entire contents of the refrigerator had been hurled about by a localized tornado. >You tear down the curtains as you go to give yourself enough light to see, but it slows you down. >Sirens are wailing in the distance; your time is running out. >You don’t even know what you’ll do with the body once you find it, but that’s fine. You’ll figure it out then. >There are only a couple more rooms to search – the first is an immaculate bedroom, clearly untouch for weeks. There’s one window high on the wall, the curtains pulled open and sunlight streaming through. >Her parents’ room, you assume. >The last, then, must be Fluttershy’s. >It would… it would make sense for the body to be there, as much as the idea disgusts and pains you. Considering how you felt when she was feeding on you, though, it’s probably the first place you should have looked. >You shudder just thinking about what you might find, about what she might have done. >Slowly, you push open the door and look inside. >Nothing is as you expected. >No body, no blood. The bed is made, the clothes are all out of sight – presumably neatly put away. twiligh/tg/ame_night !u9y.Yl1Law
>>25268426 >To say it’s not as you expected isn’t quite accurate – more like, it’s exactly how you would have expected Fluttershy’s bedroom to look like, not what you were assuming it to be after seeing the rest of the house. >The only thing that really stands out is a small pink book set on the pillow. >Her diary. >What else would it be? >Hesitantly, you reach for the book. >You shouldn’t, but all of the answers will be there. You just know it. >Who turned her into a monster, who she killed… how she actually felt about you… things you need to know. >Your hand is hovering over the cover for who knows how long. You have to know. >”Please don’t.” >FUCK! >You nearly jump out of your skin as you whirl around. >”I’d really rather you didn’t read that,” Fluttershy mumbles softly, her eyes avoiding yours. “It’s… personal… you know…?” Anonymous

She still is. >”Please,” she begs, just like she had begged you to let her die with dignity, “please don’t read it.” “Of course I won’t.”
>The sirens are cut off suddenly and Fluttershy’s head snaps around to stare at the window. >You have to get out of here. >”You have to get out of here,” the girl mumbles, looking back to the floor. “The police will ask you a lot of awkward questions if they find you here.” >The window is the obvious escape route – and you’re halfway to it when you realize how pointless that would be. “People saw me come in, so they’ll be asking awkward questions anyway.”
>”But –“ “Anyway, it doesn’t matter. You’re alive!”
