The future of MLP

No.25240685 ViewReplyReportDelete
A lot of people have been growing anxious about the future of the Friendship is Magic show, so I'd figured I'd just write a little article expressing my personal opinions. If you have your own ideas, let me know in the comments!
Welp, this is a topic I've kind of wanted to tackle for a little while, but I've just never bothered to make a journal entry about it. I am posting this little article on several of my other accounts online so as many people can see it. With that out of the way, let's talk about the state of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, it's current status, it's future en-devours, and changes we might see.
Where I live, Pony is a juggernaut. I'm currently in south Florida, and every store I go to has some kind of pony merchandise. One of my local Super Targets is f*cking loaded with pony merch, such as stuff at the bedding aisle, toys in, literally, every checkout line, and half a toy aisle dedicated to it. Same with Hot Topic for my location. A stand dedicated to Funko pony figures, posters, trading cards, and T-shirts. And at the checkout, there's those keychain Funko pony things. Where I live, Pony is doing beyond great. It's one of the more popular brands here.
On another note, if you read the recently released entire Hasbro quarterly sales Q3 announcement, it reads that the GIRLS category declined, just like the past FOUR previous quarters, which isn't a good sign. However, in that same announcement, it reads that Pony PONY alone went up slightly, but it was the timing of the Pony EQUESTRIA GIRLS film release that hurt sales. The thing I want to know is, does this quarterly sales look count ONLY the Hasbro toys or does include licensed merchandise? Do these sale marks include the sales of stuff like Build-A-Bear plushies and accessories?
