Friends Forever #22 (Pinkie Pie & Celestia) is due out next Wednesday (Nov. 4)! The chapter book Princess Luna and The Festival of the Winter Moon is due out Nov. 3 as well!

How did the rest of the Pies take Pinkie's departure from the farm? There hasn't seemed to be any ill-will, and she stepped back into old traditions and routines easily enough once home. She also still dealt with her sisters' personality quirks in that practiced, familial way. Perhaps she's continued visiting for holidays and other big events that just don't fall on days when the stories are chronicled? Maud keeps in touch with her regularly by mail; maybe the rest of the family does, too. Might have been a surprise way back when, though - the second youngest striking off potentially first? She has mentioned her Granny Pie on more than one occasion - maybe she was living with her for a while before settling in Ponyville? There's still a lot in ponies' lives that remains private.
