I like all the movies. Even the first one, it's not as good as the other two but it's not horrible like /mlp/ makes it out to be.

Friendships Games is the best by far though.

Actually I think RR is better. It have likeable villains where as FG didn't really have much conflict. Yea Sci twi had the thing with principal bitch face, but other than that nothing really happend

It's really up and down in both areas. The good parts of the writing, like Sunset Shimmer's development in the second and third movies, are on par with the show's best episodes. But it tends to sink much lower than the show at its worst moments. Likewise, the animation bounces back and forth from beautiful to ugly depending on the scene.
