I like her because she didn't do as much wrong as some other characters in the show that got forgiven but she was immediatly kicked out and exiled from ever reaching her dream. She was praised by Spitfire to carry on doing what she did and then Spitfire scolded her for the same reason, like wow.

It posed little threat to them, Twilight should've mailed ahead to let them know.
They didn't have radar or any form of transponder so they were flying in the dark into an active training area, Twilight should've taken safety precautions. This falls on her for her reckless piloting.
In any court of law, the pilot of the balloon would be found to be in the wrong.

Both would've probably gotten some authority on their asses. CAA for Purple (airspace infringement) and the Academy for LD (failure to follow SOPs).

A report on it would probably go on to remark that both actions were endangering safety.

I wish they had stuck with the original ending. I hope Lightning Dust will return. The writers already ruined the Wonderbolts. Lightning Dust therefore climed up the ranks to my second favorite pegasus. Unfortunately there is barely any good fan material of her.

BTW, did they redo Spitfire's voice? Just rewatched the ending to confirm what I write. And her voice sounds a lot better than in my memory when her voice was a huge shock for me.
