Why? Barb would be much more friendly and affectionate. What good can Spike do that Barb can't? The only thing I can think of is messing around with his little puppy penis and see his reaction; but Rarity, Twilight and Fluttershy probably do that to him already.

I say spike because I don't have even the slightest reason to like Barb, whereas Spike at least has character.

Dog hair, and odor. I prefer an easier to clean room and not waking up in sheets that smell like dog. I love them dearly but that's just not going to happen.
besides, my favorite won't even stay in the room for an hour before wanting out to lay down in the kitchen.
