Any music theory bros wanna help me out? If I play a C chord with a G in the bass, does it still count as a C when making chord progressions? Will I still be able to make a perfect cadence?

Can I have multiple instruments loaded in Kontakt, all playing the same MIDI channel but transposing up or down an octave? The tune knob sounds sounds bad for what I'm doing. I'd like it to transpose MIDI, not audio. Obviously I can just copy the score to another MIDI channel and an octave higher so it's not a big deal, but I figured there's be a more convenient way.

I've just been fucking around with fl studio and I want to be better in terms of beat complexity (i make fresh beats/instrumentals fam). I think i should start learning music theory and re-learn piano. What do you guys think? Do you think I could make significant progress in about 3 weeks?

it'll help play it on a midi keyboard tho but who cares about that

Because I love using synths and fucking around with them/layering and experimenting blah blah blah. So piano could help with blasting out some dank melodies on the midi.
Instead of plucking around like a retard, not knowing what im doing. Which is what i do now

Are you seriously suggesting that having command of a musical instrument - especially the one in which every daw has an equivalent piano roll layout - does not accelerate the testing and editing of your melodies, harmonies, and general compositions?

Pretty newbie to production and have a question, what effect did Jay Dee apply to the "Blue In Green" piano sample? I think he speed it up a bit, but it's there any other effect?

It was windy today so I strapped muh new contact mics to a tree. Even though the mics are more sensitive than an uncircumcised kitten I actually had to really crank the level to really hear all the fibers deep inside the tree stretching and moaning. When I threw the cans on and heard this for the first time I couldn't get the smile off my face. I-it counts as music..

>>60010136 I think you would be better off calling your music something else than a symphony, because you kind of expect a certain level of professional quality when you see those words... at least that's the association. I've had enough of scrubs posting their "symphonies" on Youtube and what not. Start with something smaller scale and learn your craft first.

Do I have to switch into Analog and Modular synthesis instead of digital bullshit DAWs?
