I got a generic Strat though, it's a Spectrum, it was my first electric guitar and I still have it. It's pretty good, no complaints really.

Probably depends on what you're after. For a more British tone, probably a lower-end Celestion (70/80, new around $75). For more American, maybe an Eminence Legend, about $50-60 new. Not sure of your budget. The Eminence Redcoat is good if you want volume and about $75 new.

Stalk eBay and CL for awhile and wait for a deal to pop up to get for a crazy discount.

I haven't been here for a while but when did posting others' gear become a thing?
Also I have to disagree a bit with gear costs vs experience. At least to me playing is just a hobby and as such, it's only purpose is to bring me joy. Whether I achieve that by learning to play better or spending more money on gear is up to me. That being said, I think I have found a good balance between spending money and learning new stuff.

Yea, I'm not so good with mixing/editing. My problem is that I always can heare the lead guitar loud enough.
I think it's the same phenomenon like when you mix your own voice. You know what you sing/play so your mind boosts the volume for yourself.

Just got this Sunn T50C and its pretty great 50 watt with switch to run at 12.5 watts. I like it because it stays clean at high spl making it great pedal platform. Reverb is very usable throughout range and it has FX loop for each channel.

It was Fender era Sunn, but fender also released basically the same amp as the Fender Pro Tube Pro Reverb I think... Neither of them sold because they weren't based on vintage circuit tonez haha, they were blown out for like 400$ years ago so keep that in mind if you find one, I only payed 350$ for mine . they retailed for like 1600$ I believe. Oh yeah it weighs a fuck ton at 75 lbs

Yeah he used to maintain the transmitters at my last workplace for about half a century. He wound those transformers himself. If you look closely all the tubes are NOS as well.

He just has boxes and boxes of NOS tubes, as well as stuff you've never seen before.
