The Epic, Mark Guiliana's release, and the Bad Plus Joshua Redman have been stealing the show for me. Fuck the haters on Kamasi though, the record is solid.

I literally haven't listened to this album since the hype died down 2 weeks after it was released. It's not that good and kind of boring tbh. His improv is quite boring compared to other Jazz kings and his production is quite boring. For a 3 hour long album there wasn't any kind of experimentation at all.

Modern jazz is dead, just accept it. There's still thousands of classic albums you have'nt heard that are a million times better then mediocre 2015 albums copying them.

The Verneri album >>60017990 is not unoriginal at all, also Christian Scott is doing new stuff
