bc they're turbo normies that swallow what's given to them
just like everyone else, tbh. with the difference that a 3rd worlder have as privilege what a 1st worlder have as staple, specially in regards of culture - or anything 'accessory' to their constitution as a person, be it music, art, clothes or cars. that makes it difficult for them to move out of their prefferences.
they also hear music sparingly so for one to become tired from a certain music a radio/spotify has to play it way too often - which they aren't stupid to do.
that way you often see people who are still obsessed with the music they heard as teenagers, like blink 182, audioslave, pearl jam and etc.
brazilians who like good music are either spoiled rich kids or people who really love music and listen a lot of it.
as well as autists who become experts in whatever their interests are for selfish self-reward/qualification or because the stimuli they gather from new music wear off quickly - my case.
brazilians are also hugely social so music is either something you hear(d) alongside others or that you hear alone but aluding to these situations. thus, the playlist will often be aligned with pop music or popular electronic/local dance music.
