I back the sentiment about the guitar-work. Also take a closer look at the lyrics on all of the songs. It's a very political record, which you have probably already realized, but that makes the lyrics pretty important. More important than I normally find lyrics I suppose.

This is a strange album for me. At first I enjoyed it but thought it was nothing special, but it has slowly entered my favorites after years of re-listening. The songs that are more upbeat are really catchy, the lyrics are always sincere and interesting, and every song sets a different mood. Overall it just feels very nostalgic for some reason, and I think that's why I like it so much.

As Daydream Nation within the rest of Sonic Youth's discog, I just think that's an undeservedly hyped album compared to the rest of The Antlers' discography. "In the Attic of the Universe" has this melancholic sound that is a lot better.

well it's from the eighties so...

this is a pretty close 10/10 for me. I love the punk elemements and the ranch out into a lot of different styles, it's just a really entertaining solid interesting record that never feels like it has a gimmick.

my favourites are Androgynous, Sixteen Blues, and ANswering Machine
