I mean what the fuck. Where do I go from here? Nothing satisfies me anymore. The fucking ninth is drilled in my head and doesn't leave me alone. No other music piece does this for me. It made me addicted. Wtf

The 9th is a schmaltz-fest with a badly tacked on choral bit. Most of his other symphonies are better. If you think that is the pinnacle then there's not much point in helping you down. Listen to the gross fudge and some Bartok perhaps.

Listened to all of them. His symphonies are amazing, the 4th, 5th, 7th, but the fucking 9nth just... just does what it does.
It's not tacky u fuck, it's the pinnacle of the symphony genre
