I used to agree with this but if you listen to the rest of the album without judging it against those songs you may find that you enjoy them for what they are.
That said, those two songs are so much better than anything else on there it’s ridiculous

I disagree. I think the whole album is great, especially songs like She's Got Funny Cars, Plastic Fantastic Lover, Today, 3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds, D.C.B.A. 25, Embryonic Journey, fuck, the whole album is great. Maybe it's just a little too mellow for your taste. That's understandable.
